I just blazed through 2 seasons of Call the Midwife and it is excellent. Set in post-WWII’s poverty stricken East London, it looks at issues of poverty, reproductive rights, and gender power dynamics all through the lens of a group of nuns and nurses specialized in midwifery and palliative care.
