Someone thought the joke of calling “Boyhood” the “honest title” of “12 Years a White Kid” was saying “It’s not okay to be white.”

I told them it wasn’t about them.

But it was a white male, 19 year old college student. So it *was* about him, and he didn’t like it being pointed out that EVERYTHING is about him.
