So they moved the crossing to half a mile from the reservation, across land that was taken from the tribe in 1958, without their consent.”

This weekend, hundreds of Native Americans gathered to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline, which they say will contaminate the water at a nearby Sioux reservation.
