One of the Washington State Senate bills threatening transgender people died today. My senator was voting for the bill though so I sent the senator a nasty-gram:

“I was disappointed to learn of your yea vote today on the 3rd
reading of SB 6443. I was glad that it failed to move on
regardless. I do not understand how you can believe that
intervening on the human rights commission rules is the
right thing to do. It completely defeats the goal of protecting
human rights by undermining the commission. And to add
insult to injury this bill would have put many of my friends in
very real danger. This in contrast to the perceived but
unsubstantiated threat that the bill was intended to protect
against.”
